According to the county on the 21st, this event has been organized to contribute to a stable blood supply and foster a spirit of sharing love among public officials in light of the current situation, where the supply of blood is becoming increasingly strained due to a rise in serious transfusion patients caused by low birth rates and an aging society, as well as a decrease in blood donors.
The blood donation campaign will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., targeting public officials, related organizations, and county residents. The county has consistently conducted blood donation campaigns every quarter, and this year, the 'Love Blood Donation' campaign was already held twice in the 1st and 2nd quarters.
Blood donation is available to those aged 16 and above, and participants must bring an ID for identification purposes. Blood donors will receive a health check through blood tests, a blood donation certificate, recognition of four hours for volunteer service and continuous learning, as well as a small commemorative gift.
County Governor Shim Min said, "I hope that this Love Blood Donation campaign will help ensure that we do not face difficulties due to blood supply shortages," and emphasized, "Continuous interest and participation from public officials and county residents are necessary so that we do not encounter unfortunate situations where we cannot respond to emergencies due to a lack of blood."
