Verification of Actual Residency Status and Other Details
Namwon City in North Jeolla Province will conduct the 2025 Resident Registration Fact-Finding Survey from July 21 to November 20, 2025.
According to the city, the purpose of the Resident Registration Fact-Finding Survey is to verify whether the resident registration information matches the actual residency status, and to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of resident registration.
The survey consists of a non-face-to-face digital survey (from July 21 to August 31) and an on-site visit survey (from September 1 to October 23). For the non-face-to-face survey, participants access the Government24 app from their registered address and respond to the fact-finding questions.
The on-site visit survey targets households that did not participate in the non-face-to-face survey, as well as households designated for focused investigation. These households include: ▲those with residents aged 100 or older ▲long-term unregistered residents (over 5 years) ▲suspected deceased individuals ▲socially vulnerable households ▲households with children who have been absent from school for an extended period without valid reason or who are of school age but not enrolled.
During the survey period, if citizens voluntarily report discrepancies between their resident registration and actual residency, they may be eligible for partial reduction of resident registration fines in accordance with relevant laws, even if they are subject to such fines.
A city official stated, "We encourage households that may find it difficult to participate in the on-site visit survey, such as those with working members, to actively take part in the non-face-to-face survey by August 31."
