Through Strengthened On-site Communication

Kim Jehong, Deputy Mayor of Sacheon City, has taken the initiative to strengthen the city's status as the aerospace capital of Korea and to promote the revitalization of the aerospace industry.

According to Sacheon City on July 21, Deputy Mayor Kim conducted on-site visits to major aerospace-related companies in the area to reflect the voices from the field into city policies.

This visit was organized so that Deputy Mayor Kim Jehong could directly visit companies, communicate with company representatives and executives, listen to the difficulties they face in the industrial field, and seek ways to improve them.

The companies visited included a total of 13 firms, such as Doowon Heavy Industrial, AST, and Kencoa Aerospace. These are core companies leading Sacheon City's aerospace industry in various fields, including aircraft parts manufacturing, precision processing, assembly, and surface treatment.

Deputy Mayor Kim closely inspected each company's production sites and research facilities, thoroughly reviewing their technological capabilities, investment plans, and employment status.

In particular, during a meeting with company representatives, various issues were discussed, including the expansion of production facilities, securing skilled personnel, and problems related to transportation and convenience facilities within the industrial complex. Deputy Mayor Kim promised to review these matters in depth and actively incorporate them into policy.

The city expects that this visit will serve as a meaningful opportunity to lay the groundwork for practical support for companies, rather than being a mere formality.

Through field-oriented communication, Sacheon City is supporting corporate activities and seeking various policy alternatives for the sustainable growth of local businesses, such as expanding industrial complex infrastructure and improving residential conditions.

Building on this on-site visit, the city plans to gradually expand regular company roundtable meetings and strengthen field-oriented policies through ongoing communication with businesses. Sacheon City also aims to establish a public-private partnership system to stably support the future growth of the regional aerospace industry.

Deputy Mayor Kim Jehong stated, "The future of Sacheon City depends on the growth of the aerospace industry," and added, "I will listen closely to the voices from the field and implement policies that provide real support to companies."
