Citizen Grievance Consultations
Immediate Resolution for On-Site Complaints
The "Citizen Ombudsman" of Siheung City, Gyeonggi Province, together with the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, will operate the "Mobile National Sinmungo" at the Siheung City Family Center on July 24 to help resolve citizens' grievances.
The "Mobile National Sinmungo" is a system in which professional investigators from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission and partner organizations, specializing in various fields, visit local communities to directly consult with citizens about their daily grievances and difficulties. During the consultation process, civil complaints that can be resolved on-site will be addressed immediately.
Now in its fourth year, the "Mobile National Sinmungo" is operated through the collaboration of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, the Council on Social Welfare, Korea District Heating Corporation, and the Siheung City Citizen Ombudsman.
Citizen consultations will cover all areas, including civil law, grievances of multicultural families and immigrant women, general administration, and social welfare. Any citizen with complaints related to administrative agency actions or inconveniences in daily life can visit the site for consultation without a separate reservation.
Park Myungki, the Siheung City Citizen Ombudsman, said, "I hope that the 'Mobile National Sinmungo' will provide an opportunity for citizens whose complaints have been difficult to resolve or who need expert consultation to have their grievances addressed."
