High school students in Asan, South Chungcheong Province, who suffered damage from record-breaking heavy rains, have launched a donation project to help their neighbors, drawing public attention.
On July 21, students of Class 12, Grade 1 at Onyang Yonghwa High School in Asan announced, "We are launching the 'Donation Perfume PEAR (fier) Project' to express our support and gratitude to those affected by wildfires and to those who dedicated themselves to firefighting efforts." This project will be conducted on the Tumblbug website throughout July.
This project was organized as part of the 'Youth Startup Program' supported by the Asan Youth Culture Center. The students participated directly in making the perfume. They explained, "Various influencers have joined the project, and our goal is to raise a total of 500,000 won in donations."
Seoyeon Lee, a student who participated in launching the project, said, "Through this fundraising project, we want to show that students can also contribute to entrepreneurship and the spread of social sharing." She added, "I hope this becomes an opportunity for more people to take interest in and participate in activities for wildfire recovery."
