Nowon-gu in Seoul (Mayor Oh Seung-rok) will host four major festivals and concerts in the second half of the year: the Nowon Craft Beer Festival, the Dancing Nowon Street Festival, the Nowon Moonlight Walk, and the Gyeongchun Line Forest Trail Autumn Concert. These events will offer a variety of cultural experiences throughout the district, utilizing urban streets, rivers, and forest trails as their stages.

The Nowon Craft Beer Festival will take place from August 29 to 31 at Hwarangdae Railroad Park. The festival will feature over 200 types of craft beer from 33 breweries nationwide, as well as beers from seven countries, 32 food trucks, a “Book & Beer Talk,” family experience programs, and various side events. Each themed zone within the venue will offer a diverse range of programs.

The Dancing Nowon Street Festival will be held from September 20 to 21 along a 555-meter stretch near Nowon Station (from Lotte Department Store to Sunbokum Church). The event will include a nationwide dance team parade competition, a street dance battle, art performances, a brand fair, and children’s play experience booths.

The Nowon Moonlight Walk will run for 31 days from October 17 to November 16 along a 2-kilometer section of the Danghyeoncheon Stream (from Sanggye Station to Junggye Station). As a nighttime, walk-through art festival, it will feature various media art installations and interactive exhibition programs. Notably, this year’s event will also include a cultural exchange program with Tainan City, Taiwan.

The Gyeongchun Line Forest Trail Autumn Concert will be held on October 18 at the lawn plaza of the Gyeongchun Line Forest Trail. This open-air concert will take the form of a large-scale performance featuring popular singers, offering live music to relieve everyday stress while blending with the crisp autumn evening air.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, stated, “We aim to create cultural festivals that anyone can easily enjoy and participate in, using various urban spaces throughout Nowon as the stage. I hope that the festivals taking place in Nowon during the second half of this year will bring energy and inspiration to the daily lives of our residents.”
