On July 16, Kim launched the YouTube channel 'Kim Gyeri TV' and uploaded a video titled "This is Kim Gyeri. I started YouTube out of frustration," which runs for about 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

In the video, Kim explained, "Going through the impeachment case gave me a lot to think about, and I felt the need for a channel to communicate," adding, "As the situation became increasingly urgent, I kept postponing it, but eventually decided I needed to at least set up the channel, which is why I filmed the video."

Kim continued, "Many people remember me only for the enlightenment order, but I actually argued many points before the Constitutional Court," and lamented, "Those arguments were rarely covered in the media." He added, "Even though I provided materials in advance and asked for coverage, the media rarely reported on them, focusing almost exclusively on the prosecution or the petitioners' positions. That made me think, 'I might as well do YouTube myself.'"

However, Kim does not plan to use the channel to share detailed positions or arguments of the defense team. He stated, "There are ethical considerations for lawyers, and our legal team has a public relations department that issues official statements," adding, "YouTube is simply a channel for me to communicate about the current situation." He further noted, "If there are inaccuracies in media reports or our position is misrepresented and needs to be corrected, I will turn on the camera and communicate directly."

At the end of the video, he said, "Likes, subscriptions, and notifications are welcome, but please refrain from leaving comments. I do not welcome malicious comments."

Kim, who passed the 52nd National Bar Examination and completed the 42nd Judicial Research and Training Institute, is currently the managing partner at law firm Samsung. He has participated as a member of the defense team in all of former President Yoon's major cases, including the Constitutional Court impeachment trial, criminal trial on charges of being the ringleader of an insurrection, and the special prosecutor's investigation.

During the final arguments of the impeachment trial for former President Yoon on February 25, Kim drew attention by stating that the declaration of martial law was an unavoidable choice in response to the opposition's violent acts, and by saying, "I have been enlightened."

He also attracted attention by posting a photo with former President Yoon on his social media, writing, "My first president, whom I elected with my own hand. Yoonbeoji (Yoon Sukyeol Father)."

Recently, Kim revealed former President Yoon's prison account number on his social media, explaining, "It is highly unlikely that the president would carry cash, so he found himself inside without a single penny and was unable to buy anything."
