Daytime Highs to Reach Up to 33 Degrees

Gwangju and South Jeolla Province are expected to receive around 80mm of rain through Saturday morning, with cloudy and hot weather continuing until Sunday.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, Gwangju and South Jeolla Province will be located on the edge of a high-pressure system extending westward from the sea east of Japan.
On Saturday, the 19th, 50 to 80mm of rain is expected in the morning, followed by around 30mm of precipitation in the afternoon. Morning lows will be around 25 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will rise to between 28 and 32 degrees. On Sunday, the 20th, similar conditions are expected, with a morning low of 26 degrees and a daytime high of around 33 degrees.
An official from the Korea Meteorological Administration advised, "There will be areas experiencing very heavy rainfall accompanied by gusty winds, thunder, and lightning. Please pay special attention to safety to prevent accidents such as landslides, embankment collapses, and flooding of facilities."
