Community Chest of Korea Launches Fundraising for Flood Victims... Dunamu Donates 800 Million KRW

The Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Kim Byungjoon) announced that it will conduct a special fundraising campaign from July 18 to August 17 to support victims and affected regions suffering from the record-breaking torrential rains that have continued since mid-July.

The Community Chest of Korea plans to use the donations collected through this special campaign promptly for practical purposes, including emergency relief for disaster victims, temporary housing and livelihood support, and recovery efforts in the affected areas.

Dunamu (CEO Oh Kyungseok), which operates the virtual asset exchange Upbit, also joined this special fundraising campaign. Dunamu donated 5 Bitcoin (worth approximately 800 million KRW) to the Community Chest of Korea to support recovery efforts and aid for victims in regions affected by the torrential rains.

Kim Byungjoon, Chairman of the Community Chest of Korea, stated, "I would like to extend my deepest condolences to our neighbors who are experiencing inconvenience and hardship due to the unexpected torrential rains," and added, "The Community Chest of Korea will do its utmost to quickly deliver your heartfelt support to those who need it most."

Donations can be made through the special fundraising account listed on the Community Chest of Korea website (www.chest.or.kr) (Kookmin Bank 926101-01-000665) or via online donation platforms (Naver Happybean, Kakao Together Value, Cherry).
