System Operation to Begin on the 21st

Until now, each fire station in the province has accepted applications for on-site and visit-based education via phone calls. However, to improve convenience for residents and to systematize the operation of educational programs, a new online reservation system has been established and will now be officially operated.

Residents or organizations can easily reserve fire safety education by accessing the 'Fire Safety Education Reservation Board' on each fire station's website and following the steps: selecting the desired date and time for education, verifying their identity, entering the type of education and number of participants, and submitting the application.

Additionally, users will be able to receive real-time updates on the reservation process and confirmation of their education schedule via text messages to their mobile phones. The education schedule can also be checked directly on the website, which is expected to greatly enhance accessibility and user convenience.

This system transition has undergone a pilot operation and functionality review at Gunsan, Wanju, and Muju fire stations since last month. Prior to the official launch, each fire station has also been conducting preliminary publicity to prevent confusion, such as sending out notices about the reservation method change to organizations that have received education in the past three years.

So Cheolhwan, head of the Fire Prevention and Safety Division at Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters, said, "There may be some inconvenience at the initial stage of the system transition, but we ask for the active use by residents as this measure aims to provide faster and more accurate educational services."

Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters plans to use this online system transition as an opportunity to further improve the fairness and efficiency of the entire process from application to operation of fire safety education. The existing phone registration will end on the 20th, and only online reservations will be available starting from the 21st.
