Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH) held a public procurement consultation event on the 18th at Suwon Convention Center to support the market expansion of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the province.
This event, held for the second time following last year, focused on public procurement-certified products such as products made by people with severe disabilities, innovative products, and technology development products. A total of 53 companies participated, engaging in one-on-one matching consultations with purchasing managers from 14 GH procurement departments.
The participating companies are capable SMEs offering innovative products and services across various fields. Through this consultation event, they are expected to gain practical support for strengthening their competitiveness and expanding their market reach.

Lee Jongseon, Acting President of GH, stated, "Building on last year's achievement as the top performer in public procurement, we will actively support competitive SME products to make greater inroads into the public sector." He added, "We hope that this consultation event will provide more opportunities for participating companies and help revitalize the local economy."
Meanwhile, GH ranked first among 842 public institutions nationwide in the 2024 SME product purchase performance evaluation organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, achieving a 94.7% purchase rate for SME products. This consultation event was held to commemorate and expand on that achievement, with the number of applicant and selected companies increasing by 20.2% (23 companies) and 29.3% (12 companies), respectively, compared to last year.
