City Aims for Early Sellout Before Completion
Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Suhyeon) is taking active steps to attract companies and strengthen its industrial base, with a focus on the Eunam General Industrial Complex.
On July 18, Yangju City announced that, following the supply notice for industrial facility land at the Yangju Eunam General Industrial Complex issued by Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH) on June 26, the application period closed on July 11. As a result, six companies applied for six out of nine available plots, achieving a sales rate of approximately 70 percent. This marks the first tangible achievement in the city’s efforts to attract businesses.
This supply notice represents the first announcement for the sale of industrial facility land within the Eunam Industrial Complex. Previously, Daiso, a leading household goods company, had confirmed its entry into the logistics land. The confirmation of demand in the industrial facility sector marks a significant turning point for the complex.
According to the supply schedule, the tenant screening process will begin in July. For plots with multiple applicants, a lottery will be held on July 25 to select the final tenants. The selected companies will sign tenancy agreements with Yangju City and sales contracts with GH in early August.
Yangju City assessed that, through this supply, the Eunam General Industrial Complex?located adjacent to the Seoyangju Interchange on the Second Ring Expressway?has moved beyond simple development and entered a phase where actual business attraction is becoming visible. As many companies continue to express interest and inquire about investment in the Eunam Industrial Complex, the city plans to actively respond to additional demand with a second supply notice for industrial facility land scheduled for October.
A Yangju City official stated, "The results of this first round of supply demonstrate the high level of interest and expectations companies have for the Eunam Industrial Complex, even amid a downturn in the domestic manufacturing sector." The official added, "We aim to complete the sale of the Eunam General Industrial Complex ahead of its scheduled completion in October 2027 and, by attracting outstanding companies, establish the Yangju Eunam General Industrial Complex as an industrial hub in northern Gyeonggi Province."
