Expressing Woori Financial's Identity Where Tradition and Cutting-Edge Technology Coexist
On July 18, Woori Financial Group unveiled a new advertising campaign featuring its brand ambassador, IU. This campaign marks the group's first brand advertisement since it completed its transformation into a comprehensive financial group through the acquisitions of Tongyang Life and ABL Life. The advertisement encapsulates Woori Financial's 126-year history in finance.
Produced under the slogan "Always.Woori.At the Forefront," the campaign connects Woori Financial Group's historical journey with its future vision. It highlights pivotal moments in Korean financial history led by Woori Financial, from the establishment of Daehan Cheonil Bank in 1899 as the first bank founded with national capital, to the introduction of online transactions between Seoul and Busan in 1977, a first among commercial banks.
Notably, the campaign uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology to seamlessly feature IU as a character in newspaper scenes set in different eras, making her appear as if she were a historical figure. This symbolizes the identity of Woori Financial Group, where tradition and cutting-edge technology coexist.
The video begins with the message, "When finance has been thinking about us for over 100 years," and expands to, "Adding securities and insurance to the name 'Woori' to explore new possibilities in finance." Through this, the campaign conveys the vision of a comprehensive financial group, completed by the inclusion of Woori Investment & Securities, Tongyang Life, and ABL Life.
A Woori Financial Group representative stated, "This campaign embodies a brand identity where trust and responsibility in finance coexist with technology and innovation," adding, "We will continue to expand customer-centered financial services, always putting our clients at the forefront."
