The 4th European Hydrangea Festival, subtitled "Summer Snowflake Garden Flower Show," will be held at Jukhwagyeong, Jeonnam Province's second private garden, from the 26th of this month to the 31st of next month.
Jukhwagyeong, located in Yusan-ri, Bongsan-myeon, Damyang County, Jeonnam, is known for its unique scenery at the end of July each year, when the entire garden is covered with white hydrangeas, creating a landscape reminiscent of freshly fallen snow. The round clusters of hydrangeas bloom abundantly like scoops of ice cream, bringing a refreshing feeling even in the heat of summer.
Recently, this garden was also included in the Korea Forest Service's list of "Top 10 Recommended Arboretums and Gardens for July." The Korea Forest Service highlighted Jukhwagyeong as "a garden that creates an exotic landscape as if white snow has fallen in the middle of summer."
A representative of Jukhwagyeong said on the 18th, "For children, it is a fairy-tale-like space that stimulates their imagination, and for adults, it is a place to create special summer memories." The representative added, "During the festival, a photo contest for visitors will also be held."
