Construction of Facilities Around Two Schools in Jakarta
Support for Six Schools in Three Years with Local Subsidiary and Government Collaboration
On July 18, KB Capital announced that it will promote a road safety facility construction project in Indonesia to help prevent traffic accidents involving children.
This initiative is part of KB Capital's ongoing social contribution activities in Indonesia, which have continued steadily for three years since 2023.
Indonesia lacks pedestrian safety infrastructure compared to the pace of urbanization.
Each year, KB Capital has selected two schools to implement road safety facility projects. As of this year, the company has carried out related projects at a total of six schools.
In consultation with its Indonesian subsidiary (SKBF) and the Ministry of Transportation, KB Capital selected two elementary schools located in areas with poor surrounding road environments.
With an investment of 100 million won, the company will install crosswalks, speed bumps, and traffic signs.
In addition, a traffic safety awareness education campaign will be conducted in parallel, with participation from local traffic police.
Bin Jungil, CEO of KB Capital, stated, "We will continue our efforts to build a safer traffic environment in Indonesia so that KB Capital can grow together with the local community."
KB Capital established SKBF in May 2020 and has focused its business activities on auto installment financing. The company is strengthening its business capabilities by collaborating with local KB Financial Group affiliates.
Since 2021, KB Capital has been conducting social contribution activities in Indonesia, including support for disaster victims, sponsorship of electric vehicles, and construction of road safety facilities.
