Byron Praised Cabot as a "Proven Leader" When Hiring Her
A middle-aged couple featured on the kiss cam at a Coldplay concert have sparked controversy after being identified as the CEO and an executive of a well-known company.
According to the New York Post on the 17th (local time), Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, and the company’s Chief People Officer (CPO) Christine Cabot appeared on a camera panning the audience during Coldplay’s concert held in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, the previous day.
The two, who were enjoying the concert with a back hug, quickly hid their faces and ducked out of sight when they realized they were on camera.
Chris Martin of Coldplay warmly introduced the couple caught on camera, but when they hurriedly tried to leave, he commented, "They must either be having an affair or are just very shy."
According to the New York Post, Cabot divorced her ex-husband in 2022. However, it is unclear whether she has remarried since then.
Notably, it was confirmed that CEO Byron highly praised Cabot when hiring her as an executive in November last year. At the time, he stated, "Christine’s outstanding leadership, talent management, employee engagement, and expertise in scaling workforce strategy are crucial to the company’s rapid growth," adding that she is "an already proven leader." He also said, "Her passion for creating a diverse and collaborative work environment is a perfect match for the company."
On LinkedIn, Cabot boasted, "I have earned the trust of CEO Andy, company executives, assistants, and many employees."
Astronomer is an artificial intelligence (AI) and data company currently valued at $1.2 billion (approximately 1.7 trillion KRW).
