Masansobang Fire Station in Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, held a situation assessment meeting after a heavy rain advisory was issued for Changwon Special City.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration's forecast, heavy rain is expected to fall mainly in the southern regions from July 17 to July 19 due to rain clouds developing over the West Sea.
The meeting, held on the afternoon of July 17, was presided over by the chief of Masansobang Fire Station and attended by department heads. They shared weather updates and focused on discussing response measures for areas at risk of flooding and other danger zones within the region. In particular, they emphasized real-time situation sharing and cooperation systems with related agencies to prepare for heavy rain.
Jang Changmun, chief of Masansobang Fire Station, stated, "We will do our utmost to disseminate real-time information, conduct preemptive inspections, and maintain a rapid response posture to prepare for heavy rain."
