Label and Bottle Cap Redesigned to Enhance Premium Image
Oak 25 Features Beige Color, Oak 43 Adopts Black Color
HiteJinro announced on the 18th that it will be renewing the packaging for its premium distilled soju brands, "Ilpum Jinro Oak 25" and "Ilpum Jinro Oak 43." The strategy is to more clearly convey each brand's identity according to alcohol content and to strengthen their premium image.
"Ilpum Jinro Oak 25" and "Ilpum Jinro Oak 43" are high-quality distilled soju brands created by blending base spirits aged for extended periods in the country's largest oak barrel aging cellar. Through this package renewal, HiteJinro has changed the design and color of the labels and bottle caps.
"Ilpum Jinro Oak 25" uses the most well-aged, high-proof base spirit, resulting in a product with a distinctive rich aroma and deep flavor. The newly renewed package features a beige label that expresses the color of oak wood, visually representing the true value of the premium base spirit.
"Ilpum Jinro Oak 43" boasts a deep and smooth taste by blending base spirits aged for more than 12 years in oak barrels. Considering the product's unique high-proof blending characteristics, a black label and bottle cap have been applied to emphasize its sophistication and depth.
The renewed Ilpum Jinro Oak 43 is scheduled to be produced in the third week of July, and Ilpum Jinro Oak 25 will be produced sequentially starting at the end of this month. The volume, alcohol content, and price remain unchanged from the previous versions.
Oh Sungtaek, Executive Director of HiteJinro's Marketing Division, stated, "Ilpum Jinro Oak 25 and Oak 43 are products that boast a different level of quality by precisely blending oak barrel-aged base spirits produced in the country's largest oak barrel aging cellar. We carried out this renewal to further clarify the unique identity of the brand," adding, "As Korea's representative distilled soju brand, Ilpum Jinro will continue to lead and expand the domestic premium soju market."
Meanwhile, HiteJinro was the first in Korea to introduce oak barrel aging cellars in the 1970s and launched the oak-aged blended soju "Chamnamutong Malgeun Soju" in 1996. In 2007, the company officially introduced the oak-aged soju brand "Ilpum Jinro," and has since continued steady research and investment in facilities, maintaining the authenticity of oak aging.
HiteJinro periodically rotates the position of oak barrels and precisely manages temperature and humidity in the country's largest oak aging cellar to produce base spirits aged for long periods. Last year, the company demonstrated its advanced aging and blending technology by launching a "Cask Strength" product, which was bottled without dilution using base spirit aged for more than 24 years.
