Eel, Korean Beef, Samgyetang, and Minoe on Sale for Chobok Season
Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Donghoon) announced on July 17 that it will hold a discount sale on health-boosting ingredients such as eel and Korean beef on Basement Level 1 of its main building from July 18 to 24, ahead of Chobok (the first of the three hottest summer days).

On Basement Level 1 of the Gwangju Shinsegae Main Building, customers can find eel, a representative health food. Both freshwater eel and sea eel are available, allowing customers to choose according to their preferences.
Yeosu sea eel (500g per pack) will be discounted from 68,000 won to 58,000 won. Freshwater eel is prepared for grilling or soup and is available at 22,800 won per pack (one eel per pack).
Ingredients for Samgyetang, a dish commonly enjoyed during Chobok, will also be offered. Customers can purchase chicken, astragalus root, jujube, and other Samgyetang ingredients all in one place. Chicken for Samgyetang will be discounted from 11,900 won to 8,900 won. Additionally, a Samgyetang meal kit (14,900 won) will be available, which is expected to attract customers who want to conveniently prepare health-boosting food.
Grade 1 Korean beef sirloin will be discounted from 16,900 won to 13,900 won per 100g, and Grade 1 Korean beef skirt steak will be discounted from 17,900 won to 13,600 won per 100g.
For customers seeking special health foods, minoe is recommended. Prepared minoe, suitable for soup or grilling, is sold at 19,800 won per pack. Gwangju Shinsegae will also offer a variety of other health-boosting ingredients such as abalone and butterfish.
