Crispy Texture with Air-Layered Batter
Ottogi announced on July 17 that it has launched two new products under the name 'Ssochicken'.
'Ssochicken' is made with 100% domestically produced chicken breast and features a crispy exterior thanks to an air-layered batter. Notably, a special sauce is pre-coated on the chicken, allowing consumers to conveniently enjoy the flavor without the need to add or dip sauce separately or re-cook the product. 'Ssochicken' comes in two flavors: Honey, which highlights a sweet taste, and Yangnyeom, which recreates the traditional flavor of Korean seasoned fried chicken.
The cooking method is also simple. By placing the product in an air fryer and cooking for 12 minutes, the sauce-coated chicken is ready to eat.
An Ottogi representative stated, "The newly launched 'Ssochicken' was developed so that consumers can easily enjoy crispy chicken at home without the complicated process of deep frying themselves," and added, "We plan to continue introducing a variety of high-quality, convenient meal products that can help ease the financial burden on households during this era of high prices."
