SnetSystem, a company specializing in AI infrastructure and services (Co-CEOs Hyodae Park and Namjak Lee), announced on July 17 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with EnterInformationTechnology (CEO Myungnam Kim) to expand AI factory infrastructure in the manufacturing industry of the Chungcheong region.
Recently, the adoption of AI and smart technologies in manufacturing sites has been steadily increasing. However, in order to utilize these technologies effectively, it is essential to first establish IT and OT infrastructure at the site and create an environment where operational data can be collected reliably.
To achieve this, the two companies plan to lay the groundwork for collecting and connecting data from edge-level field infrastructure, build AI-based IT-OT converged infrastructure, and provide practical support for digital transformation in manufacturing sites through their own integrated IT-OT equipment asset monitoring solution, IMS (Industrial Monitoring System). In particular, they aim to accelerate the spread of smart manufacturing by establishing digital infrastructure and operational systems optimized for the environment and needs of manufacturers in the Chungcheong region.
This agreement primarily targets small and medium-sized manufacturers located in industrial complexes and parks in the Chungcheong region, with the goal of providing practical support to make field-oriented digital transformation more accessible. For example, by standardizing equipment network infrastructure to build smart factories, manufacturers can collect and transmit real-time data and strengthen security. In addition, by expanding the use of IMS, manufacturers can improve their equipment network operation and management, enabling workers to respond in real time in the event of a failure.
Under the agreement, SnetSystem will be responsible for building on-site network infrastructure (hardware and software), developing IMS, and supplying the solution, while EnterInformationTechnology will handle sales and maintenance support for manufacturing clients in the Chungcheong region. In particular, SnetSystem plans to provide customized digital transformation foundations for manufacturing clients, leveraging its expertise accumulated through numerous IT infrastructure projects in industrial sites.
Dongchan Park, Head of AIoT Division at SnetSystem, stated, "This agreement will serve as an important starting point for establishing a practical AI transformation foundation in the regional manufacturing industry," adding, "SnetSystem plans to provide customized digital transformation foundations for manufacturing clients, leveraging its expertise accumulated through numerous IT infrastructure projects in industrial sites."
Myungnam Kim, CEO of EnterInformationTechnology, said, "Through our collaboration with SnetSystem, we will actively support manufacturing clients in the Chungcheong region in establishing more stable and systematic digital infrastructure," adding, "We plan to focus on field-oriented services to ensure that AI-based smart technologies can be quickly adopted in the field."
