Park Heeyoung, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, Seoul, attended the "2025 Early Chobok Elderly Samgyetang Sharing Event" held on July 16 at the Cheongpa-dong Community Center auditorium and other locations, spending time with local seniors and exchanging greetings.

This event was organized ahead of Chobok, when the summer heat begins in earnest, to help seniors who are vulnerable to high temperatures stay healthy during the summer. The event was hosted by the Cheongpa-dong Senior Welfare Support Association.
On this day, more than 400 seniors?including those aged 75 to under 89 who receive livelihood or medical benefits, senior center members, and participants in senior job programs?attended the event and shared nutritious meals such as samgyetang, fruit, and japchae, all thoughtfully prepared.
Meanwhile, this year's Early Chobok Elderly Samgyetang Sharing Event is being held in 16 districts from June 27 to July 25, with a total of 3,100 seniors expected to participate.
Mayor Park Heeyoung stated, "Although it is a small gesture, I hope it helps our seniors stay healthy throughout the summer," adding, "We will continue to provide various forms of support to improve the quality of life for our seniors."
