Gyeonggi Province to Hold 30% Discount Coupon Event at Local Food Direct Stores from July 18 to 27

Gyeonggi Province will launch a "discount coupon support program" from July 18 to 27, offering a 30% discount on Gyeonggi-grown agricultural products at 25 local food direct stores across the province, including the Suwon Local Food Direct Store.

This discount coupon support program aims to ease the burden of rising grocery prices for ordinary citizens who are struggling due to the sharp increase in food prices, and to promote stable consumption of agricultural products.

During this period, customers who purchase Gyeonggi-grown vegetables, fruits, eggs, and other products at local food direct stores will receive a 30% discount on their purchase amount, up to a daily limit of 30,000 won per person.

Gyeonggi Provincial Government

This discount coupon event is distinct from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs' agricultural and livestock product discount support program, and will be held at 25 local food direct stores within the province.

Park Jongmin, Director of the Agricultural, Fisheries and Bio-Science Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, said, "Due to the recent heatwaves and heavy rains, agricultural product prices have risen significantly, increasing the grocery burden for residents. We hope that this discount event will help reduce the economic burden and provide an opportunity to purchase safe, high-quality Gyeonggi agricultural products at more affordable prices."
