From the 16th over two days, the expected rainfall is as follows: 50 to 150mm in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, the five West Sea islands, Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, and the central and northern parts of Chungbuk; 50 to 100mm in inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon and southern Chungbuk; 30 to 100mm in Jeonbuk and northern inland Gyeongbuk; 30 to 80mm in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam; 20 to 80mm in Gwangju and Jeonnam; 10 to 60mm in Daegu, Gyeongbuk, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo; and 5 to 40mm along the east coast of Gangwon. Jeju Island (excluding the northern region) is expected to receive 20 to 60mm of rain, while the northern part of Jeju will see 5 to 30mm.


In southern Gyeonggi, some areas may experience rainfall of 50 to 80mm per hour until Thursday night. In Chungnam, heavy rain at a rate of 50 to 80mm per hour is possible until early Thursday morning. In Seoul, Incheon, northern Gyeonggi, and central and southern inland Gangwon, rainfall of 30 to 50mm per hour is expected until Thursday night.


In central inland Gangwon and mountainous Gangwon, some areas may see rain at around 30mm per hour until Thursday night. In eastern Jeonbuk and the northwestern coast of Jeonnam, heavy rain at about 30mm per hour is possible from early Thursday morning until Friday night. In Gyeongnam, similar rainfall rates are expected from Thursday afternoon until early Friday morning, and in northern inland Gyeongbuk, from Thursday night until early Friday morning.


In Chungbuk, some areas may experience rainfall exceeding 50mm per hour until early Friday morning. In western Jeonbuk, rain at a rate of 30 to 50mm per hour is possible until Friday night.


On the 17th, morning lows are forecast to range from 21 to 26 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs from 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.


In most regions, winds may be strong, with instantaneous speeds around 55km/h (up to 70km/h in mountainous areas). In the western coastal areas of Chungnam and Jeonbuk, winds may be very strong, exceeding 70km/h in some places.


In the far central and southern West Sea, strong winds of 35 to 60km/h and high waves are expected until night. In the far central East Sea, similar conditions are expected from night onward.


Wave heights are expected to reach 1.0 to 2.0 meters in the nearshore East Sea, 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the nearshore West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the nearshore South Sea.


In the offshore areas (within about 200km from the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea, 1.5 to 3.5 meters in the West Sea, and 1.0 to 2.5 meters in the South Sea.
