On the 16th, Sejong City announced that the 4th Sejong Women Entrepreneurs Conference was held under the slogan "Women Entrepreneurs, the Key to Opening Tomorrow's Hope."
This event, held every July in accordance with the Act on Support for Women-Owned Businesses, was organized by the Sejong Branch of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association. Around 150 local women entrepreneurs, who lead economic development and protect the rights and interests of women business owners, attended the event.
At the event, Mayor Minho Choi said, "The development of our region is proportional to the progress of Sejong's women entrepreneurs," and added, "I hope that Sejong City and all of you, who are leading the revitalization of the local economy, will continue to grow together."
The event also provided an opportunity for women entrepreneurs of various sizes, industries, and years of experience, as well as aspiring female CEOs, to connect and collaborate. A special lecture was delivered by Park Jonghun, CEO of the YouTube channel Jisikhanbang, who shared information on strategies to turn global economic paradigm shift risks into opportunities and on achieving continuous business growth amid various changes.
Awards for distinguished service were presented to: Hwang Okhwa, CEO of Jeil Gas Co., Ltd. (Sejong Mayor's Award); Jung Kyungsun, CEO of Henapro Chunsa Co., Ltd. (Daejeon-Sejong Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration Director's Award); Kim Eunju, CEO of DS Furniture Co., Ltd. (Daejeon Regional Public Procurement Service Director's Award); and Jeon Seongmi, CEO of Dogwang Co., Ltd.
Lee Yunhee, president of the Sejong Branch of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association, stated, "I hope that our women entrepreneurs will continue to share their wisdom and experience and walk the path of cooperation for sustainable growth together."
