The Story of a Top Star Who Lost Her Memory and Career
Actress Uhm Junghwa returns as a top star who has lost her memory and experienced a career break.
On July 16, Genie TV announced that its original drama "My Precious Star," starring Uhm Junghwa, will begin airing on August 18. The romantic comedy depicts the story of top star Bong Cheongja (played by Uhm Junghwa), who suddenly finds herself living as an ordinary middle-aged woman. The series follows her as she forms a special bond with demoted traffic police officer Dokgo Cheol (played by Song Seungheon).
Uhm Junghwa and Song Seungheon reunite as co-stars for the first time in 10 years since the film "Wonderful Nightmare." The younger version of Cheongja, during her heyday, will be portrayed by actress Jang Daa, who is the older sister of IVE member Jang Wonyoung.
The series is directed by Choi Younghoon, known for "Good Casting," and written by Park Jiha, who previously worked on "She Who Is Different by Day and Night."
