The Gangnam District Council (Chairman Ho-gwi Lee) announced on the 16th that it attended a friendship alliance agreement ceremony held at Chilgok County Office in North Gyeongsang Province on the 15th, aimed at strengthening friendly cooperation between Gangnam District and Chilgok County.

This agreement was established to promote joint development in various fields such as industry, culture, education, and tourism, and to expand private sector exchanges. The ceremony was attended by Chairman Ho-gwi Lee, Vice Chairman Jin-gyeong Bok, Operations Committee Chairman Dongho Lee, Administrative and Safety Committee Chairman Eulseok Kang, and council members Seokmin Yoon, Seongsu Lee, and Aeja Noh. They agreed to strengthen legislative capabilities and jointly promote the development of local councils based on cooperation with the Chilgok County Council.
In his remarks, Chairman Ho-gwi Lee stated, "Taking this friendship alliance agreement as an opportunity, we will share excellent policies based on Gangnam's innovation and Chilgok's tradition, each with their own strengths, and achieve tangible results in resident welfare and regional development." He added, "Through cooperation with Chilgok County, we will do our best to create an inter-city exchange model that sets an example for local autonomy."
Gangnam District and Chilgok County plan to continuously expand cooperation and exchanges in various fields, including operating direct trade markets to promote local agricultural and specialty products and participating in exchange programs.
