Sacheon City Signs 10.1 Billion Won Investment Agreement with Aviation Company Camp

Mayor Park: "We Will Actively Attract Investment and Provide Administrative and Financial Support

Sacheon City in South Gyeongsang Province announced on the 16th that it had signed an investment agreement (MOU) worth a total of 10.1 billion won with Aviation Company Camp at the Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Government building.


Park Wansoo, Governor of South Gyeongsang Province, attended the signing ceremony, further raising expectations for the development of Sacheon's aerospace industry.


Camp is a specialized manufacturer of aircraft and helicopter parts headquartered in Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province. The company is recognized as a technology-intensive enterprise, applying Laser Beam Welding (LBW) technology to core components of aerospace engine systems.

In particular, Camp has succeeded in developing launch vehicle propulsion system components using a semi-automated LBW process and aims to become a leading global small and medium-sized enterprise.


Laser Beam Welding (LBW) is a welding technology that uses high-powered lasers to join metals or thermoplastics. It enables narrow and deep welds, offering advantages such as high speed and precision. Through this agreement, Camp plans to invest 10.1 billion won in the Sacheon Aerospace National Industrial Complex and hire a total of 23 new employees.


Meanwhile, Sacheon City is rapidly gaining a reputation as a business-friendly city, thanks to proactive corporate attraction policies linked to the establishment of the Aerospace Administration, excellent infrastructure, and a fast administrative support system.


Mayor Park Dongsik stated, "I deeply appreciate Camp's bold decision to invest in Sacheon," and added, "As Sacheon advances as an aerospace convergence city, we will spare no effort in attracting further investment and providing administrative and financial support to ensure the success of investing companies."
