This event was organized to commemorate the publication of the book "Wajang Kim Eundong: Modern and Contemporary Roof Tiles and Master of Roof Tiles," which documents Kim Eundong Je and Jang's 50-year journey of tile making. The event also included a public program aimed at promoting, preserving, and passing down Gyeongbuk's intangible cultural heritage.

More than 50 people attended the event, including members of the Korea Roof Tile Society and officials from the National Intangible Cultural Heritage. The program featured demonstrations of traditional handmade roof tile production and a tour of the Goryeong Giwa Museum.

Kim Eundong Je and Jang began his career at Goryeong Hanwa in 1972 and has since become a leading roof tile master in Korea, producing traditional handmade roof tiles and bricks for major palaces such as Gangnyeongjeon and Gyotaejeon at Gyeongbokgung Palace, as well as Changdeokgung and Deoksugung Palaces. In February 2023, he was designated as a Gyeongsangbuk-do Intangible Cultural Heritage Je and Jang. He has also served as a senior chairman of the National Heritage Artisans Association, contributing to the production of customized traditional Korean roof tiles for national heritage sites. In recognition of his achievements, he was awarded the Ok-Gwan Order of Cultural Merit at the 2024 National Heritage Protection Merit Awards organized by the National Heritage Administration.

Governor Namchul Lee stated, "I congratulate this event honoring the achievements of Kim Eundong Je and Jang, who has dedicated over 50 years to the production of traditional roof tiles and the continuation of our region's traditions," and added, "Goryeong County will continue to devote attention and effort to the preservation and transmission of traditional culture."
