Busan and Osaka Mark 40 Years as Sister Ports... "Expanding Cooperation for Sustainable Ports"

Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Song Sangkeun) expressed its commitment to strengthening cooperation for the development of sustainable ports between Busan Port and Osaka Port at the "40th Anniversary Ceremony of the Busan-Osaka Sister Port Agreement" held in Osaka, Japan on July 8.

This ceremony was organized to reflect on the exchanges and cooperation that have continued over the past 40 years since the two ports became sister ports in 1985, and to share future joint tasks. The two ports agreed to expand cooperation to ensure port sustainability, including decarbonization and digital innovation.

Busan Port Authority plans to pursue practical cooperation projects in various areas, including the development of eco-friendly ports, the introduction of smart technologies, and personnel exchanges, based on its partnership with Osaka Port.
