Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital announced on July 16 that the Dairy Association's 'Ilsacheollihoe' recently donated 6 million won to support low-income patients. Including this donation, the total cumulative amount donated to the hospital over 15 occasions since 2011 has reached 81 million won.

The donation ceremony, held that day in the hospital's fifth-floor conference room, was attended by Min Jungjun, hospital director, Kang Hocheol, deputy director of medical services, Kwon Sungyoung, head of planning, as well as other hospital staff. Park Chungnam, president of Ilsacheollihoe, and 12 other members of the group also participated.

Ilsacheollihoe is comprised of 14 members who work in the dairy industry in areas such as Gokseong, Naju, Yeongam, and Hampyeong. Despite their busy schedules caring for livestock, they visit the hospital once a year. The donations initially began to support pediatric cancer patients, but have since become a regular act of sharing hope with all patients.

Park Chungnam, president of Ilsacheollihoe, said, "We were looking for ways to help those who are socially marginalized and facing difficulties, and decided to support Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital. We hope our gesture can bring at least some comfort to the patients."

Min Jungjun, hospital director, stated, "The steady support from Ilsacheollihoe is a great source of strength for both the hospital and our patients. Our hospital will also strive to become a warmer place so that neighbors in need can receive the treatment they require."
