KOSDAQ-listed company Alphanox is changing its name to AlphaAI and, together with AIMMO, a leading vision artificial intelligence (AI) data platform company, is set to target the vision AI market?including autonomous driving?which is valued at 430 trillion won.

According to the electronic disclosure system on July 16, Alphanox announced on the previous day that it will propose changing its name to 'AlphaAI' at an extraordinary shareholders' meeting scheduled for July 30. The company will also nominate Oh Seungtaek, CEO of AIMMO, and Choi Jin-oh, Head of Business Group at AIMMO, as candidates for internal directors. In addition, the company confirmed agenda items to add new AI-related businesses to its business objectives, including: autonomous driving, vertical large language models (LMM), data center development, humanoid robots, e-commerce, and semiconductor design.

These agenda items reflect the company's intention to foster the AI industry as a core growth engine following the signing of a stock and management rights transfer agreement on July 14.

AIMMO, Alphanox's strategic partner, is recognized for its unrivaled technological capabilities and project execution in the domestic and global vision AI data markets. The company has signed a five-year project contract and a vendor license valid for 15 years based on its vision AI data platform 'AIMMO Core,' and is pursuing the establishment of sensor fusion-based data for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) development in Germany.

In particular, Oh, who has been nominated as an internal director, is recognized in the industry as an AI specialist executive, having founded AIMMO and built a reputation for technological expertise in the AI vision data field for over ten years. Oh participated in the 'Zero City' project initiated during the tenure of President Lee Jaemyung as Governor of Gyeonggi Province, and also served as co-chair of the AI Industry Development Committee in Lee Jaemyung's presidential campaign. The new government is accelerating efforts to establish policy and financial foundations to usher in an era of 100 trillion won in AI investment, with the goal of becoming one of the world's top three AI powerhouses.

An Alphanox representative stated, "The name change and appointment of directors mark the first step toward entering the vision AI data market," and added, "We plan to fully launch our AI business through closer strategic cooperation with AIMMO in the future."
