Dongjak District to Host 'Dongjak Life Mic' Where Residents Share Health Know-how Directly

Dongjak District in Seoul will hold the resident participation lecture event, 'Dongjak Life Mic,' at 7 p.m. on July 24 in the main auditorium of the Dongjak Culture and Welfare Center.

'Dongjak Life Mic' is an event where residents take the stage themselves to share their own health management know-how and real-life experiences. The event is designed to strengthen the sense of community and promote communication among residents.

Dongjak District to Host 'Dongjak Life Mic' Where Residents Share Health Know-how Directly Park Ilha, mayor of Dongjak District, is giving a greeting speech at the Dongjak Life Mic resident lecture held last August at the Seoul Women’s Plaza Art Hall Bom. Provided by Dongjak District.

From June 20 to June 30, Dongjak District publicly recruited speakers from residents who live, work, or attend school in the district. After administrative and interview screenings, seven final speakers were selected. The chosen speakers completed competency-building training, including manuscript writing and presentation practice, and will give lectures on practical topics such as proper dental care, home medical care methods, and ways to relieve stress.

At this lecture event, broadcaster Choi Yangrak will serve as the host, and comedian Paeng Hyunsook will participate as a special guest speaker to add interest to the event. Paeng Hyunsook will share tips for building healthy marital relationships in her lecture titled "How to Live with Laughter: Even Marital Fights Like a Variety Show!"

Any Dongjak District resident can participate in the event, and up to 540 participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Those wishing to attend can apply through the integrated reservation system on the Dongjak District Office website.

Park Ilha, mayor of Dongjak District, said, "This is a meaningful event where residents directly share their experiences and wisdom," and added, "We will continue to expand opportunities for resident communication and unity in the future."
