First, the province will add 13 vehicles to 13 intercity bus routes and increase the number of daily operations by 20 trips, focusing on areas such as vacation spots and resorts where transportation demand is expected to rise, in order to provide greater convenience for travelers.

For sections of major expressways and national highways that are prone to chronic congestion, the province will use road electronic signboards (VMS) to provide real-time information on detour routes and interchange entry controls to help disperse traffic. Accordingly, for five expressways?Gyeongbu, Yeongdong, Seohaean, Jungbu, and Seoul-Yangyang?detour routes for 13 surrounding sections will be provided in the event of congestion. For nine national highways, including Routes 1, 3, and 39, detour routes for 14 surrounding sections will be provided.

During the special measures period, the Special Traffic Measures Situation Room, which consists of four teams including the Public Transportation Team and the Traffic Information Team, will flexibly respond to unexpected situations such as traffic accidents.

In addition, the Gyeonggi Traffic Information Center website, mobile app (Gyeonggi Traffic Information), and traffic information hotline will provide information on congestion and delays on major roads in the province, directions for the fastest routes, and updates on unexpected situations such as traffic accidents and restricted areas.

Real-time operation information for city, intercity, and village buses within the province, as well as metropolitan buses to Seoul and Incheon, will be provided through the Gyeonggi Bus Information System's mobile app (Gyeonggi Bus Information), website, and ARS.

Furthermore, the province will carry out maintenance of damaged road surfaces and road facilities, and establish an emergency road restoration system between the province and city/counties to respond quickly to road washouts and damage caused by heavy rainfall during the monsoon season. The province also plans to improve services by coordinating with city/counties, bus transportation business associations, and bus terminals to carry out facility maintenance and provide special training for transportation workers.

Yoon Taewan, Director of the Metropolitan Transportation Policy Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "We will do our utmost to ensure safe and convenient travel for residents and tourists during the vacation period," and urged, "We also ask residents to observe traffic laws and join us in practicing safe driving."
