Busan Bank Holds '2025 Second Half Exchange Rate and Global Economic Outlook' Seminar

Busan Bank (President Bang Seongbin) held a seminar titled "2025 Second Half Exchange Rate and Global Economic Outlook" on July 15 at the Ocean Hall of its headquarters, inviting more than 150 representatives from export and import companies in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions.

This seminar was organized to examine the impact of global economic instability?caused by the delayed interest rate cuts by the US Federal Reserve, trade tariff policies expected under a potential second Trump administration, and the Israel-Iran war?on exchange rates and the commodity market, and to help local companies with risk management.

The seminar consisted of two lectures. In the first lecture, Lee Younghwa, an economist at Busan Bank, gave a presentation on "Recent Major Issues in the Foreign Exchange Market and Future Outlook." This was followed by Hwang Byungjin, Deputy General Manager at NH Investment & Securities, who explained "Outlook for the Commodity Market in the Second Half of the Year and Corporate Response Strategies." Company representatives attending the event showed great interest in both lectures.

Jung Hae-soo, Head of the Treasury Market Group at Busan Bank, emphasized, "The first half of this year was a period of great uncertainty, and we organized this seminar so that companies could prepare for such situations. We will continue to support the revitalization of the local economy through programs that provide practical help to businesses."

Busan Bank is expanding its team of economists and foreign exchange experts to respond to volatility in the foreign exchange market.
