Small Business Value-Up Day... Korea Economic Association to Create 'Growth Ladder'

The Korea Economic Association announced on the 15th that it held the 'Strong Small Business Value-Up Day' event at the FKI Tower Conference Center in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. This project is designed to support small business owners so they can achieve further growth.

At this Value-Up Day, more than 200 representatives of small businesses attended. The event featured lectures by successful entrepreneurs, customized consulting from the Korea Economic Association's SME Center advisory panel, networking opportunities for small business owners, and one-on-one investment counseling sessions.

Lee Yoonjae, chairman of GNG School, who participated as a mentor, emphasized the importance of a spirit of challenge that does not fear failure and entrepreneurial spirit that transforms crises into opportunities. Park Yongjun, CEO of Samjin Eomuk, introduced bakery-style fish cake stores tailored to younger consumers and shared his know-how on turning tradition and local identity into competitive advantages.

The ultimate goal of the event is to create an economic ecosystem where large corporations share resources and know-how to foster mutual growth, and to establish conditions for small business owners to develop into sustainable entrepreneurs. The Korea Economic Association plans to launch the 'Growth Ladder' program in earnest, starting with Value-Up Day. In December, the association will hold the 'Global Power Seller Project' in partnership with platform companies such as Naver and Kakao.

Ryu Jin, chairman of the Korea Economic Association, emphasized, "The entrepreneurial spirit is the very thread that connects the entrepreneurial small business owners participating in this audition with earlier business leaders such as Lee Byungchul and Chung Ju-yung." He added, "I expect the government to implement a variety of policies to help strong small businesses build solid companies and grow into mid-sized and large enterprises," and stated, "The Korea Economic Association will also create a growth ladder for companies."
