The Chungnam Provincial Office of Education announced on July 14 that it held the "2025 2nd Chungnam Sports Career and Academic Harmony Festival" at Kongju National University on July 12 for high school students aspiring to pursue studies in sports-related fields.
The event was attended by over 500 participants, including high school students, parents, and physical education teachers from the province.
This event was organized to provide practical information to students preparing for careers in sports and to support them in systematically planning their academic paths.
The provincial office offered a variety of programs to students, including professional counseling from the School Sports Promotion Association's Career and Academic Counseling Team, admissions counseling from 14 universities in the Chungcheong region, and mock practical skill evaluations for sports entrance exams.
In particular, the "Mock Practical Skill Evaluation Competition," which allowed students to experience university practical exams in a real-life setting, served as an opportunity to enhance their adaptability to actual tests.
In addition, a range of side events combining both interest and practical benefits took place, such as career and academic guidance, edutech sports experiences, and a demonstration performance of the Dance On Challenge.
Superintendent Kim Jicheol stated, "It is the role of education to help students explore and design their own career paths independently," and added, "We will continue to provide systematic support for students preparing for careers and academic advancement in the field of sports."
