This project is a customized employment support program for local young people who have given up on job searching, jointly operated by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Icheon City. The program consists of intensive counseling and case management, career exploration, employment skill enhancement and interview preparation, career planning, and hands-on experiential activities.

The program currently recruiting participants is offered as both short-term and mid-term courses, and is open to young people aged 18 to 39 who have not been employed or received vocational training within the past six months.

The short-term program is an introductory course designed to lower initial entry barriers for participants. It will be held over five sessions totaling 40 hours, starting on September 4. Upon completion, participants may receive up to 500,000 won in participation allowances.

The mid-term program, which will run for 15 sessions totaling 120 hours starting next month, includes career counseling and psychological assessments, special interview preparation lectures, and hands-on programs. Participants may receive up to 2.2 million won in participation allowances.

Graduates of the program will also be offered information on youth policies, one-day classes, and follow-up career counseling. In particular, during the program, participatory activities such as on-the-job mentoring with professionals, social dining, self-understanding workshops, digital competency training, and resume consulting will be provided.

Those interested can apply through the Work24 website. For more details, please contact the Icheon City Youth Challenge Support Project office.
