Ranked First in KS-PBI's Initial Evaluation
Recognized for Systematic Product Lineup and Technological Excellence
The engine oil brand 'S-Oil 7' from S-Oil Total Energies Lubricants has ranked first in the engine oil category of the '2025 Premium Brand Index (KS-PBI)'.
S-Oil Total Energies Lubricants, a joint venture between S-Oil and the global integrated energy company TotalEnergies, announced on July 14 that it had topped the KS-PBI engine oil category. The KS-PBI is a brand value evaluation index jointly developed by the Korea Standards Association and the Seoul National University Business Research Institute, which selects premium brands in each industry based on consumer surveys.

S-Oil 7 is recognized for its excellent engine protection and lubrication performance, based on the company's high-quality base oil. The lineup is organized into 'Gold', 'Red', 'Blue', and 'Black' according to driving purpose and fuel type, and is further classified into '#9', '#7', and '#5' grades depending on performance level.
The 'Seven EV Hybrid', a product exclusively for eco-friendly vehicles, is also receiving attention. It is a 100% synthetic oil-based product, featuring protection against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) and reduced chain wear. It was also the first in Korea to proactively adopt the latest international standards (API SQ, ILSAC GF-7) that have been in effect since March this year.
Marketing efforts to enhance brand trust are also active. Since August last year, the company has supplied engine oil to teams participating in domestic racing competitions, where its performance has been verified under extreme driving conditions. By strengthening the operation of its official online store, the company is also expanding its consumer touchpoints.
Patrice Devemy, CEO of S-Oil Total Energies Lubricants, said, "Winning first place is the result of our efforts toward quality innovation and customer trust," and added, "We will continue to grow as a trusted brand by providing products and services that exceed expectations."
