Early Sell-Out of 2,041 Units for General Sale
Achieved Through Data-Driven Contracting and Sales Strategy
Doosan Construction announced on July 14 that it has completed the sale of all units for "Changwon Megacity Xi & Weave," which it supplied in partnership with GS Construction and Kumho Construction, just over 80 days after the start of contracts.
This complex is being developed in Jinhae-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, with 17 buildings ranging from 4 basement levels to 37 above-ground floors. It will consist of a total of 2,638 units with exclusive areas ranging from 39 to 102 square meters. Of these, 2,041 units were available for general sale.
The achievement of selling out within three months is notable, given the sluggish local housing market. As of May, the number of unsold units in regional markets stood at 51,372, reflecting a cautious market sentiment overall. "Changwon Megacity Xi & Weave" quickly sold out amid high demand, injecting new energy into the market.
The complex recorded a maximum competition ratio of 7.67 to 1 in the first-round subscription and achieved the highest number of subscription applications among all developments in Jinhae-gu over the past five years.
Doosan Construction explained, "This success is due to thorough location analysis and demand forecasting based on data, which allowed us to propose products suited to the market and incorporate residential features that buyers genuinely want." In April, "Doosan We’ve The Zenith Pyeongnae Hoepyeong Station N49" in Pyeongnae-dong, Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, also sold out within 44 days of the contract opening.
"Changwon Megacity Xi & Weave" is the largest branded apartment complex in Jinhae-gu and represents a project that brings together the construction expertise of each consortium member. The development introduced new residential standards by offering innovative five-room layouts, including entrance and kitchen pantries, as well as alpha and beta rooms, to accommodate various family structures and lifestyles. The project also received positive feedback for providing premium educational services through a partnership with Jongno M School, and hotel-style residential services such as curated book selections by Kyobo Bookstore and breakfast services.
A Doosan Construction representative stated, "Changwon Megacity Xi & Weave presented a vision as a landmark complex previously unseen in Jinhae-gu, which led to the successful sales. Given the early sell-out despite challenging market conditions, we will repay the support for the complex with diligent construction. We also plan to introduce developments in Bugae 4 District and Dohwa 4 District in Incheon in the second half of the year that will satisfy buyers."
