On July 14, the Gwangju City Government announced that the "2025 Korea Climate Environment Energy Expo (KEET 2025)", held at Kim Daejung Convention Center from July 9 to 11, concluded successfully, attracting 17,400 visitors and recording 524 business consultations.

This year's "KEET 2025" was jointly hosted by the Gwangju City Government, Jeonnam Provincial Government, and Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office, and organized by Gwangju Tourism Organization, Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership, and KOTRA. As the largest renewable energy and climate environment industry exhibition in the Honam region, the event featured 418 exhibition booths from 215 domestic companies and institutions.

The exhibition showcased a wide range of advanced technologies and products, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, and carbon neutrality technologies. In particular, the KEPCO KDN pavilion received a strong response from visitors by presenting renewable energy monitoring and control systems and a hydrogen city platform. In addition, 18 side events, such as the overseas export consultation, the Corporate Partnership Fair, and the Gwangju Climate Energy Policy Seminar, also attracted significant interest.

During the exhibition, more than 17,400 visitors attended, including a large number of domestic and international buyers, resulting in active business meetings. A total of 524 purchase consultations were conducted.

At the Corporate Partnership Fair, 79 large enterprises and 136 small and medium-sized enterprises participated, holding 432 one-on-one business matching consultations, with the total consultation amount reaching approximately 45.8 billion won.

At the KOTRA export consultation event, 15 overseas buyers participated and conducted 92 consultations, resulting in a total consultation amount of approximately 90 billion won (66 million US dollars) and increasing the potential for overseas expansion.

The "Net-Zero Market", an eco-friendly experiential event open to both industry professionals and citizens, proved to be highly popular. Visitors participated in various hands-on programs, such as a wildlife photography exhibition, zero-waste lifestyle products, and making natural handmade cosmetics, directly experiencing ways to practice a carbon-neutral lifestyle.

At the "Energy·Climate Forum", held as a side event, experts gave presentations and held discussions on topics such as carbon neutrality and energy transition. Experts from the industrial, academic, and policy sectors shared strategies and directions for cooperation in responding to the climate crisis.

Choi Taejo, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Industry Bureau, stated, "This exhibition was a meaningful opportunity for both industry and citizens to seek solutions to the climate crisis together," and added, "We will continue our best efforts to create a sustainable energy industry ecosystem to realize 'Gwangju, a carbon-neutral city by 2045'."
