Distribution of Cooling Vests and Operation of Cooling Rooms
On-Site Health Manager Patrols and Counseling Conducted
On July 14, SPC Group announced that it has distributed "lightweight cooling vests" with improved comfort and sustained cooling effects to production sites of Paris Croissant and BR Korea. This measure is intended to prevent heat-related illnesses caused by the heat wave. A company representative explained, "The vests are cooling gear equipped with small fans, making them lighter and less damp compared to regular cooling vests that use ice packs. As a result, on-site employees are highly satisfied."

SPC Samlip, Shany, and SPL are operating a total of 21 "cooling rooms" equipped with air conditioners for employees working in high-temperature environments such as ovens. These spaces allow workers to take cool and refreshing breaks.
In addition, each affiliate provides personal equipment tailored to the on-site environment to prevent heat-related illnesses, such as cooling sleeves, neck coolers, and waist-mounted fans. On-site managers also carry backpacks filled with ion beverages as they walk around the workplace, helping employees stay hydrated and checking on their health.
Furthermore, salt glucose, which helps replenish electrolytes, is provided frequently. Summer special meals such as Samgyetang, Patbingsu, and ice cream are also offered to help employees recharge and supplement their nutrition. Preventive activities such as regular inspections by on-site health managers and counseling for employees at high risk of heat-related illnesses are also being conducted.
