The Population Issue Awareness Improvement Relay Campaign is a nationwide initiative designed to raise public awareness about the challenges of population decline and aging in Korea, and to establish a foundation for solutions through public-private cooperation. Since October last year, various public and private organizations have been participating in the campaign in a relay format. On July 1, Seoyouseok, Chairman of the Korea Financial Investment Association, who joined the campaign, nominated Byungwoon Yoon, President of NH Investment & Securities, as the next participant.

NH Investment & Securities, based on its commitment to addressing the social challenge of population issues, is actively working to promote a corporate culture that supports childbirth, parenting, and family-friendliness. In 2017, NH Investment & Securities became the first domestic securities company to open an in-house daycare center. Located in Yeouido, Seoul, the daycare center accommodates about 40 children of employees aged 1 to 5, and provides an organic meal plan and high-quality educational programs, thereby helping to reduce the childcare burden on employees.

In addition, the company has implemented various family-friendly policies, including a PC-off system, operation of a Moms' Lounge, family counseling programs, support for children's tuition, and family medical expense assistance. As a result, the rate of NH Investment & Securities employees returning to work and continuing their employment after parental leave has reached 96% over the past three years.

In recognition of its efforts to promote a work-family balance culture, NH Investment & Securities was selected as an "Excellent Family-Friendly Company" certified by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family in 2023. In 2022, the company received the Minister of Gender Equality and Family Award as a "Company Where Working Women Are Happy," as well as the Minister of Employment and Labor Award as an "Excellent Company for Work-Life Balance Practice."

Since taking office in March last year, President Byungwoon Yoon has continuously worked to enhance employee welfare. In particular, he has actively promoted policies to encourage childbirth, such as preemptively implementing, even before legislation, a policy that allows male employees to take up to 20 business days (a total of 4 weeks) of paid leave when their spouse gives birth.

Additionally, the company has increased childbirth subsidies and extended the paid period for parental leave and infertility leave, which has been credited with significantly improving employee satisfaction with welfare and the overall work environment.

President Yoon stated, "The population issue is a critical national challenge that we must all work together to solve, and I hope this campaign will once again highlight its importance," adding, "NH Investment & Securities will continue to make various efforts to address the population issue going forward."
