Recognized for Excellence in Security, Safety, and User Convenience
Service to Be Provided via Hana OneQ Starting July 2026
Hana Bank announced on July 14 that it has been selected as a final participant in the "2025 Mobile ID Private Sector Opening" initiative announced by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
Hana Bank was ultimately selected as a participating company after being recognized for its excellence in areas such as personal information protection measures, security level, reliability, activation plans, and response systems for disruptions, by a selection committee composed of seven experts in the fields of security and authentication.
The mobile ID is a government-certified means of verifying an individual's identity, equivalent to a physical ID card. With this selection, customers will be able to use mobile ID services more conveniently and securely in their daily lives through Hana OneQ, not only for face-to-face and non-face-to-face financial transactions, but also at government offices, medical institutions, and for purchasing products that require age verification.
Hana Bank plans to begin full-scale system development this month, complete system construction by the first quarter of next year, and undergo a suitability assessment by an evaluation agency by the second quarter. Starting in July, the bank will provide easy and convenient mobile ID services through the "OneQ Wallet" feature in Hana OneQ.
A Hana Bank representative stated, "With our final selection as a participating company in the mobile ID private sector opening, we expect to further enhance digital convenience for our customers. Based on the digital expertise and robust information security management system we have built by providing a variety of daily financial services through Hana OneQ, we will offer even more convenient and reliable mobile ID services."
Meanwhile, Hana Bank is providing a variety of public services to improve customer convenience through its flagship mobile app, Hana OneQ, including "Hometown Love Donation" to promote a culture of giving, the tailored government benefits notification service "Benefit Informer," "Smart Pass" for overseas travelers, "Safe Consumption Information" for secure daily spending, Government24 electronic certificates, and National Secretary services.
