Top-Tier Maintenance Companies Gather in Daejeon on the 17th
Announcing Strategies for Specializing in Electric and Hydrogen Vehicles and Expanding ESG Maintenance Culture
The Federation of Hyundai Motor Bluehands Maintenance Franchisees (FHBM), the official association of Hyundai Motor’s authorized maintenance partners, announced on the 14th that it will hold the '2025 FHBM Unity Conference' at the KT Human Resources Development Center in Daejeon on the 17th.
This event will bring together top-tier general maintenance companies from across the country under the theme of establishing a manual-based maintenance system to protect customer lives and the vision for the rapidly changing future of the maintenance industry, with the message: "Adhering to maintenance manuals is equivalent to safeguarding lives."
Hyundai Motor is rapidly advancing vehicle technology by expanding the use of composite materials such as high-strength steel and aluminum, and transitioning to water-based eco-friendly paints, in line with the recent strengthening of safety and environmental standards.
Accordingly, Bluehands general maintenance companies are providing customer trust-based services that set them apart from ordinary maintenance shops, including: ▲standard manual-based maintenance using Hyundai’s HSW operating system, ▲operation of advanced equipment and specialized personnel, and ▲implementation of the BRC system through quality certification and environmental verification.
At this conference, mid- to long-term strategies will be announced that go beyond simple technical capabilities, including: ▲specialization in maintenance for future vehicles such as electric and hydrogen cars, ▲expansion of carbon-reducing genuine parts usage, ▲promotion of ESG-based eco-friendly maintenance workshops, and ▲nurturing and expanding employment for young maintenance professionals.
The association also plans to actively pursue: ▲the establishment of a nationwide standard training system for maintenance personnel, ▲job placement for young maintenance professionals in collaboration with local governments and the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and ▲expansion of certified maintenance centers for future vehicles.
In addition, the association intends to officially propose to the government policy support and institutional improvements to redefine the maintenance industry as a core sector responsible for public life and safety, rather than merely a vehicle service.
Lee Gyoyeol, president of the Bluehands Maintenance Association, stated, "The technical skills of maintenance professionals are directly linked to the lives of our customers," and added, "We will continue to spread a culture of safe maintenance throughout Korea."
