Yoo Jaeseok's Campaign Participation Video Released on July 7
Entertainer Yoo Jaeseok has responded to Hyundai Motor's call for eco-friendly hydrogen mobility through its Love Call campaign.
On July 14, Hyundai Motor released three short videos on its official YouTube channel, featuring Yoo Jaeseok explaining why he drives the Nexo. In these videos, Hyundai Motor employees and Yoo Jaeseok engage in conversations on the topics of eco-friendliness, hydrogen energy, and all-electric range (AER).
The released videos show Yoo Jaeseok expressing his agreement with the eco-friendliness of hydrogen energy and being surprised by the Nexo's performance, which can travel 720 kilometers on a five-minute charge. In the final scene, Yoo Jaeseok states, "That's why I drive the Nexo. I really do," revealing his reason for choosing the Nexo.
Since June, Hyundai Motor has been running the 'Nexo Love Call Campaign' to share its eco-friendly values and hydrogen mobility vision. The campaign invites prominent figures from various fields to join the Nexo journey.
Outdoor advertisements installed at five locations in Seoul, including Gangnam-daero and Dosan-daero, feature the phrase "Dear. MC Yoo" along with images of glasses and a suit, hinting at the identity of the person. In response, on July 7, Yoo Jaeseok posted a video on Hyundai Motor's official YouTube channel and his agency Antenna's official Instagram, stating, "Embarking on a hydrogen mobility journey without CO2, I, Yoo Jaeseok, will join the Nexo."
On July 9, Hyundai Motor posted on its official Instagram account, encouraging the public to participate in the Love Call campaign. Broadcaster Tyler Rasch and weathercaster Jung Juhui, both known for their interest in climate change and the environment, also posted messages expressing their support for the Nexo hydrogen mobility journey and their intention to join.
A Hyundai Motor representative stated, "With Yoo Jaeseok's participation in this campaign, we hope that Hyundai Motor's vision for eco-friendly hydrogen mobility will become widely known and resonate with many people. We also express our gratitude to Mr. Yoo for choosing the Nexo and actively participating in the Nexo Love Call."
