"After-school Archery Should Become an Official Event"... Hyundai Mobis Supports Popularization of Archery

School Sports Club Archery Competition Held on the 12th
Hyundai Mobis Expands Support to Promote Archery Among Youth

Hyundai Mobis is strengthening its support to broaden the base of archery and help establish it as a popular youth sport. The company is undertaking systematic sponsorship efforts, such as hosting school sports club archery competitions, establishing standardized archery rules for schools, and providing professional training programs.

On the 14th, Hyundai Mobis announced that starting this year, it plans to carry out various support activities to officially incorporate archery into the school sports club program.

Specifically, in cooperation with the Korea Archery Association, Hyundai Mobis will revise the school-standard archery rules and offer professional curricula and educational materials. The company will also support training sessions for teachers from city and provincial education offices who lead the clubs, and sponsor school sports club archery competitions held in each region.

Hyundai Mobis plans to encourage more schools to participate so that archery, which is currently being operated on a trial basis in school sports clubs, can be adopted as an official event. School sports clubs refer to extracurricular athletic activities run by schools for students, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

On the 12th, Hyundai Mobis successfully held the "2025 School Sports Club Archery Competition with Hyundai Mobis" at Namseoul University in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province.

Since 2022, Hyundai Mobis has been co-hosting this competition twice a year with the Korea Archery Association. The event is designed to support and encourage schools and students that have introduced archery as a school sports club activity. This year, more than 300 students from 21 middle schools across the country participated and competed enthusiastically. A Hyundai Mobis official explained that the number of participating schools and students has been steadily increasing over the past four years.

At the event, athletes from the Hyundai Mobis women's archery team also volunteered their talents, drawing attention. The athletes demonstrated archery techniques for the students and participated in event matches with them.

Having operated a women's archery team for over 40 years, Hyundai Mobis is leading efforts to foster archery as a sport that everyone can enjoy. Since 2017, the company has run the "Junior Archery Class" as a social contribution program, laying the foundation for introducing archery to school sports clubs. Retired athletes from the Hyundai Mobis archery team serve as instructors for the Junior Archery Class, which this year alone will provide more than 2,000 youths nationwide with free opportunities to experience archery for the first time.
