Woori Financial Group announced on the 14th that it held the 'Woori WON Day' event on the 11th at Dragon City in Yongsan, Seoul, to welcome Dongyang Life and ABL Life as new members of the group.
This event was held under the slogan "When We Come Together, We Become WOORI," symbolizing the completion of Woori Financial Group as a comprehensive financial group through the inclusion of the two insurance companies.
A total of 461 people attended the event, including Chairman Im Jongryong, the CEOs of Dongyang Life and ABL Life, top-performing employees and executives from each company (160 people), as well as 121 representatives and staff from group affiliates.
The event began with ice-breaking and team-building programs designed to foster a sense of closeness and unity among employees of the group companies. The main program included a welcoming address, a ceremony for delivering funds for the group’s specialized public interest projects, a business kit presentation, and a congratulatory performance by the Woori Multicultural Scholarship Foundation Children's Choir. The event concluded with a dinner, providing an opportunity for communication and harmony.
In his welcoming address, Chairman Im told the employees of Dongyang Life and ABL Life, "You have all become part of the Woori Financial family, so now we are all policyholders together." He added, "Today marks the day when the two insurance companies have truly become one family under the strong foundation of Woori Financial Group. I promise to respect the expertise and autonomy of each company and to help you grow into larger and stronger insurers with the group’s full support."
After Chairman Im’s welcoming address, a ceremony was held to deliver funds for the group’s specialized public interest projects. To expand Woori Financial Group’s signature public interest initiative, the 'With Woori 17 Project,' Chairman Im Jongryong personally handed over the project funds to the social contribution officers of Dongyang Life and ABL Life.
The With Woori 17 Project is an initiative in which all 17 affiliates of Woori Financial Group carry out signature public interest projects tailored to each company’s characteristics. Dongyang Life will implement the 'With Woori Guardian Angel Project,' while ABL Life will launch the 'With Woori A Better Life Project,' each conducting their own specialized public interest activities.
After the project fund delivery ceremony, Chairman Im personally presented business kits containing group ID cards, business cards, and badges to four employee representatives from Dongyang Life and ABL Life, congratulating them on officially joining the Woori Financial family.
Bae Hyeongyu, a senior employee from Dongyang Life who took the stage for the business kit presentation, remarked, "Receiving the group ID card and business card directly from the chairman at today's event made me truly feel like a member of Woori Financial Group. I think my parents will be very happy and proud when I show them."
At the closing dinner, employees and executives from the group companies toasted each other, enjoying time for networking and camaraderie. Chairman Im remained with the employees until the end of the dinner, offering encouragement to the staff of Dongyang Life and ABL Life.
