Guro Daengnyangine aims to create a pet-friendly city where companion animals and people coexist harmoniously. The facility was established after Guro District was delegated the operation of the Seoul Municipal Animal Welfare Center (472 Gyeongin-ro) by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Since beginning operations on June 25, it has served as a hub for promoting companion animal culture in the local community.
The opening ceremony was held in the afternoon of July 11. Guro District plans to operate various programs at Guro Daengnyangine, such as adoption consultations and education for stray cats, companion animal education and correction programs, and pet etiquette campaigns. For more information, contact Guro Daengnyangine at 02-2636-7649.
Jang Inhong, mayor of Guro District, stated, "We will strive to foster a more mature community by spreading a culture in which companion animals and people can be happy together."
