The TOPS Program is a new small business support initiative launched this year by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The government and private companies jointly invest resources to provide specialized support in four sectors: Comprehensive (including food), Food, Fashion & Beauty, and Accommodation & Restaurants. Baemin is responsible for the restaurant sector and has been carrying out step-by-step support since last month, including discovering promising small business owners, consulting, and branding.
Baemin provided promotional support to small restaurant owners, conducted at least three customized one-on-one consulting sessions for each business, and offered special lectures on how to utilize the Baemin application (app). As a result, the average number of delivery orders per participating business during the six weeks after the program began increased by approximately 70% compared to the six weeks prior to the program. Along with the increase in order volume, the average sales per business also rose by more than 50%.
At the event, in addition to sharing these achievements, participants also discussed cases in which the TOPS Program helped them solve challenges in the restaurant business and achieve growth. Woowa Brothers plans to provide various benefits to businesses selected for the second phase of the TOPS Program, including device rental fees, coupon support, and promotional events with prizes tailored to each business.
Kim Junghyun, Head of Value Management at Woowa Brothers, said, "Together with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, we have supported 300 small business owners across 17 cities and provinces nationwide and contributed to revitalizing local commercial districts. Based on the restaurant industry expertise we have accumulated over the past 15 years, we will continue to do our utmost to support small business owners."
